Love is always worth it. This is a unique piece for me. So expressive and fun. I have always enjoyed hand painting words and working them into the painting so they are not the too-obvious point but they are essential compositional elements. This was the first piece I have done where that was the total point, but it will not be the last. I want to create more like this one. It was a ton of fun to make. I worked on it off and one for a month. As for the sentiment, I fell in love a few years ago and it has been a terrifying and traumatic ride for me, but it has always been worth it. Love is always worth it. And for me, at least, the difficulties are all about unhealed trauma. In both of us. And healing that stuff is the meaning of life. You gotta do it. Do the work. It is always worth it. Never give up.
